Physiotherapy begins with a detailed biomechanical examination of your injury region. From there, your physiotherapist will provide you education on your condition, treatment options and perform regular re-evaluation of your progress. Physiotherapy treatments may include individualized exercise prescription, various forms of manual therapy techniques (mobilization, manipulation, soft tissue release and stretches), the use of modalities (ultrasound, interferential, heat/ice) and/or acupuncture or Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) dry needling.
